The columnist Bob Greene wrote a column a number of years ago about how he was on a layover in some airport and watched a man walk up to the door of the lady's room, look around, and then stuck his head in and shouted, "Lenore, are you in there." A few minutes later a very embarrassed-looking woman came walking out to join her husband. Greene made the observation that anyone watching this scene was sure to tell recount it at the dinner table that night. "I know I did," added Greene.
