I'm trying to take advantage of this time to complete a sales plan for 2007. I'm focusing areas such as personal system changes that can improve my effectiveness and efficiencies, setting goals, focusing on areas I can improve and various other elements which will put me in a better position to succeed during the upcoming year. Getting off to a quick start in 2007 is the key to building the type of momentum that can be the difference between a good year and a great year. I'm not big on New Year's resolutions since those are easy to break, but I am a big believer in changing those things that didn't work and enhancing those things that did (both personally and professionally). The start of a new year is a great time to do it since most of us are coming off of a little down-time and it's easier to approach things with an open mind, since there aren't as many distractions from day-to-day activity.
