Yes you know who I am. Of course I am Donald Trump

Donald is in the news often. At times—maybe even most times—he is controversial. Some say he has a huge ego. Maybe the biggest!

Everyone knows who he is and my sense is everyone has an opinion. Chances are they really like him or they don’t.

I haven’t met many people who aren’t at one end of the spectrum.

What is your opinion?

Are you a fan?

Or does your skin curl up when you hear his name?

I look forward to hearing your comments.

  1. Steve Schlesinger Says:

Not a big fan of “The Donald’s” approach but do admire his self-promotion and where it has taken him. Many people forget the fact that he was given a very good start from his father - nothing like a little seed money to get things growing. The one thing that bothers me the most is his track record of screwing shareholders or bondholders in his casinos but still being able to benefit personally. Some would commend him on his business acumen but I tend to feel that these tactics and others are sad statements about our society and the importance of power and money.

  2. Lindsay Starr Says:

I really don’t have an opinion - I could care less! I don’t dislike him, but he’s certainly not one of my favorites.

  3. Lorri Says:

I really, really dislike him. I had to stop watching The Apprentice — he makes me cringe. Even the list above disgusts me. I don’t care how much money he has and how he got it (his own hard work or a good family start) but I find him incredibly arrogant, disrespectful, judgmental, condescending, immature (the thing with Rosie), selfish, narcistic, egotistical, capitalistic to the point he would do anything, etc., etc. etc. I have absolutely no respect for him and if he offered me a job even for a huge amount of money I would not take it. The man lacks integrity. So yes, I am one of those people on the end of the spectrum (can you tell?) and it just bothers me that I can’t “not react.” I just want to be apathetic to him but whenever he appears, I have to do something to be rid of him (change the channel, etc.).

So Merrill, how do you feel about him?

BYW, can you add a spell check to the blog? ;-)

  4. Tammie Frost-Norton Says:

I save my admiration for Warren Buffet. His ethics, business acumen, and simply the way he treats those who work for him and those companies he acquires is simply an astounding business model that all could strive for. And that doesn’t even touch his monumentally generous contribution to the Bill&Melinda Gates foundation for charity. Donald is an embarrasment.

Well said Tammie! I’m with you…

Tammie– Excellent points. I totally agree!

  7. Merrill Dubrow Says:

Since Lorri asked me specifically how I feel about him I feel obliged to respond. Donald is way to self serving and self promoting for my taste.

I will admit some of the stuff he does makes me chuckle and some of it I just don’t get. The “spat” with Rosie with me was very disappointing. I don’t appreciate his tactics, he reminded me of a bully from our days in high school. I understand they had a difference of opinion, get together in a closed room and work it out or at least agree to disagree and move on.

He clearly can be tiring at times.
