The Saratoga Experience includes, the Jazz Festival, NYC Ballet Co., Philadelphia Orchestra, Opera Specials, the best concerts - i.e.,Dave Mathews tomorrow,8/14, and of course 36 days of the best thoroughbred racing. Nothing could be better than this!! Art galleries, great restaurants for every pallet and budget and the newest one is FIFTY SOUTH, a creation of Kim Klopstock, owner of the LILY and The ROSE, the areas foremost caterer. The farmer's markets are open, the weather is a crisp 75 and sunny all day. It's unreal. Having visited Dallas recently, I now remember that August is the January of the South. I ran from my air conditioned car to the air conditioned house and could not get a frosty beer in my hand fast enough. In Oregon, we have 6 - 8 months of rain, so don't be too mad. We earn August.
