My wife and I would add:
Holiday
You've Got Mail

Some of our favorites on the list already are American President (we can almost say the lines) and Pretty Woman.

This might seem a bit odd (imagine that, coming from me) but "Knocked Up" HAS to be added. It is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and "knocks" down the gender barrier; it was equally good for men and women. Going back a little further, here are some more considerations: Four Weddings and a Funeral, 9½ Weeks, Terms of Endearment, Forrest Gump, The Notebook and Braveheart.

Add License to Wed to the list. We watched it last night and it was very cute. It stars Robin Williams, mandy Moore and Jim for the show "The Office"

I think I may also have liked it because it appeared to be a reunion of the cast from the hit comedy "The Office". I think at least 5 cast members were in the movie which was just released to DVD in the last week.

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Something's Gotta Give". I laughed like a hyena at this one. Two of the all-time greats were at their best (Keaton and Nicholson).

Back when I was an impressionable college student, Zefferilli's "Romeo and Juliet" was the big date movie.

My daughter Caitie used to have all her suitors was "Fever Pitch" so they'd know what life with a Red Sox fan was like.
