Funniest memory is of the car used in Get Smart, especially in the opening credits. I think of Don Adams when I see an Opel GT. Actually that was only in the final season. It started with a Sunbeam Tiger and then there was one season with a Karmann Ghia. The funniest series ever.

Well, I don’t watch a TV show just for the transportation factor, but I liked the Partridge Family Bus and the Mystery Van from Scooby Doo. I guess because I have a large family and would be fun to ride around along with my kids & dogs .

No love for the Batmobile? That would be my favorite TV car. The Munster’s Koach woudl come in second.

As for movies, it’s no contest: The 1970 Dodge Charger in “Vanishing Point”.

My all time favorite car is a 1957 T-Bird. Therefore Robert Urich’s red T-Bird in the tv show Vega$ was awesome. He even had a car phone before anybody had a car phone. I will one day buy a 57 T-Bird. I owned the 2004 remake for a few years, but want the original. One of the most famous people who restores old T-Birds has a show room in Richardson, Texas. His name is Amos Minter.

Same could be said of movies. The Trans Am became popular even before Knight Rider when Burt Reynolds drove it in Smokey & the Bandit. But for me, the coolest car in TV or movies was the DeLorean from Back to the Future. I wanted one of these, especially one that came with Michael J Fox!

Easy… the 1967 Lotus Elan driven by Emma Peel in “The Avengers”. I think it was less the car and more the fact Diana Rigg at that time was the main focal point of my very first sexual desires.

If we can include movies then it is the 1968 Mustang fastback driven by Steve McQueen in “Bullit”.

For me, it was the 1969 Charger in the series Duke of Hazzard and the closest I came to buying one was a 1972 Challenger!!!
