A few weeks ago, I was opening my fortune cookie at a Chinese restaurant and it read:
“You will be traveling to distant lands for business purposes.”
Of course I paused and gave some thought about my upcoming trips. I wanted to share that today and also see what distant lands you will be traveling to in the next few months.
My trips include (in no particular order):
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- San Francisco
- Las Vegas
- And a fun family trip to Mexico.
Your turn:
- What distant lands you will be traveling too in the next few months?
I look forward to reading your comments and seeing who is traveling the farthest!

Tom McGoldrick says:
Next three months: Japan -Tokyo; China – Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou; Brazil – Cuiaba, Primavera do Lests, Sao Paulo; Vietnam – TBD. Costa Rica – TBD.
Dan Rangel says:
I will be going to Miami for a MRA Joint Chapter Conference next month. Possibly to New York in March. I just got back from a family trip in Buenos Aires.
Christine Cook says:
Jamaica Man! One day shy of one month away!
I’m finally taking a vacation for the first time in four years…a real vacation.
It’s also the first ‘real’ (I say this as it’s not an extended weekend, however 10 days) with my adult children. I love them so much so this is going to be a blast. My husband, son, daughter and son-in-law. All inclusive, beachfront rooms, golf, etc.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ana Lúcia says:
I’m already in a “distant” land.
and I love to go to any land…
this year for sure:
Inside Brazil: Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro (both work and family)
abroad for me: New Orleans, Miami, Maryland, Peru, UK, Turkey and Greece (these last 2, a dream coming true)
But because of our profession and with a nomad gene somewhere, I’m sure something else will come up.
Lynn Stalone says:
After a year of virtually no travel, I am looking forward to Philly, Dallas, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas and New York in just the next two months, with a lot more to follow. I’ve really missed being on the road and meeting with my clients and colleagues!
If all goes according to plan, I will work from Italy for at least one month this summer.
Al says:
During the Xmas holiday I threw the camper shell on the back of my truck and drove to New Mexico to ski. I hit Santa Fe on Xmas Eve and Xmas, Los Alamos – they had no snow
and Taos – which finally wore me out…in a good way. Beautiful places.
In the Spring my boss wants us to attend the Burke Institute for some statistical refreshing in Chicago. I’m looking forward to the refreshing and the city. (Hmmmmm, did I use “refreshing” correctly here?)
