Title:   New Business Developer Salary:   Commensurate w/Experience
Job Description
The Business Development position will report to the Executive Vice President and will be responsible for identifying business opportunities in both prospect and existing accounts, and managing the sales cycle to a successful conclusion. This person will fill a critical position, serving as a key contributor to the overall growth of the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Growth of the business through acquisition of new sales of M/A/R/C Research products.
• Activities include prospect generation, needs identification, qualifying the opportunity, and including the appropriate subject matter experts to close the project.
• Responsible for a high level of management and account planning.
• Working in a collaborative way with both Account Managers and Methods Consultants.
• Becoming the Client Advocate.

Skills
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 10 years of sales experience in a marketing services environment, selling custom marketing research.
• Documented sales successes crossing a mix of product and service categories.
• An ability to associate marketing issues with appropriate research solutions.
• Excellent planning and organization skills.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Evidenced team building skills, and a willingness to work with any and all resources to achieve success.
• An undergraduate degree in business or a related field, with an advanced degree a plus.
• A solid understanding of marketing principles and practices.
• In-depth understanding of research methodologies a plus.

COMPENSATION

Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with skills and experience, along with an incentive bonus program based on personal performance. This position is available in California, Chicago, New York or any other major cities.

Job Description
Seeking a tenured Account Director adept at gaining and growing account revenues. Key areas of responsibility include: recognizing research opportunities, translating objectives to research design, overseeing project implementation, analyzing results to derive actionable findings and presenting outcomes and recommendations to client organizations.

Specifically:
Gain and maintain client relationships
Consult w/clients on strategic business issues
Recommend methodologies that address client objectives
Write succinct proposals targeted toward issues
Develop questionnaire/analysis/report outlines
Translate research results into meaningful findings and recommendations
Present and defend research outcomes to client organizations
Maintain profitability levels

Skills
12+ years research/marketing experience (a minimum of 6 years in research)
Assertive business development mindset
Broad spectrum of research knowledge
Dynamic presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills/enjoy working on teams
Good negotiating skills
Client service mentality

Position is available in Dallas, TX or Greensboro, NC.
