Time to count…How many states have you been to?

Friday, August 7th, 2015

Last week I had the pleasure of going to Oregon for the first time. A big shout out to all the members of the H. family who were amazing hosts and hostesses and made my time special. Going there for the first time gave me a chance to pause and figure out how many states I have been to. When I was done, the answer was 42 states.

Now your turn. Please click on the quiz and let me know how many states you have been to.

Good Luck!

Natural Wonders

Wednesday, August 5th, 2015

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Crater Lake (thanks M.D.) in Oregon. I must admit growing up on the east coast I didn’t know much about it but WOW! Standing above the rim and looking down on the bluest lake I have ever seen, with the mountains in the background it might be the most beautiful view I have ever witnessed. The people I was with said it was listed on the USA’s natural wonders – which again I was surprised that I hadn’t heard much about it.

Here are 10 natural wonders in the United States:

    1. Death Valley, CA
    2. Niagara Falls, NY
    3. Grand Canyon, AZ
    4. Mammoth Cave, KY
    5. Hubbard Glacier, AK
    6. Black Hills, SD
    7. Crater Lake, OR
    8. Yosemite Valley, CA
    9. Carlsbad Caverns, NM
    10. Old Faithful, WY
  • Which ones have you been too?
  • Which one is your favorite?
  • What other natural wonders should we add to the list?

I look forward to reading your comments.

I never thought this would happen…with that said happy 9 year anniversary!

Sometimes you have a good idea and sometimes other people have one! Well in 2006 a number of people on the M/A/R/C® team had an idea that has continued for almost a decade – for yours truly to start a blog!

Our first post was August 1, 2006! Nine years, almost 1,400 posts and 40,000 comments we are still going strong.

The question is why and that answer is very simple – YOU! The readers! Without you I would not do this, without your comments, feedback, and interest this would have stopped many years ago.

Yes I tend to look at things a little different and my brain is a little crazy at times but if you didn’t take time out of your life and your busy schedule than this wouldn’t mean as much to me as it does!

I have learned so much from your comments, made some new friends, and grown as a person and professional!

  • For all those things I thank each and every one of you!
  • Please let me know how we are doing, subjects that are of interest and, of course, if you would like to be a guest writer!

I look forward to reading your comments.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
